Enjoying Rug Hooking

We've been having a great time perfecting our rug hooking skills with the help of We Three Rug Hookers.
We have finished all of our small scale practice pieces and are moving on to some larger projects. Jan is working on a penny rug, rug hooking pattern.  The pattern is so historic.
Claire cannot zero on what pattern to try next, maybe a flag or I'm thinking of starting now on a Belsnickle and maybe he will be finished for Christmas.  The biggest challange is choosing just the right shades of wool to make your project standout.  It is so nice that we have 2 rug hooking classes coming up at James Creek Galleries by 2 different rug hookers which include the supplies class fee and lite  lunch. Call 724 533 2313 for details.
Bring on the warm weather.

St Patty's Day

It's a warm and sunny day in Volant. People are enjoying the sunshine and walking through the village and the near 30 shops. The Neshannock Creek water sparkles beautiful in the sun.
Hopes of Spring brings on a smile as the days get longer.

We girls will be heading to some markets in Ohio this Friday and Saturday with plans of bringing back some new prims and accessories and furniture for the shop in the James Creek truck. While we are gone  sweet Wendy will be available for all your shopping needs.
Wendy is an expert with the Country Living Caromal Colours Paint line, feel free to stop by and pick her brain for ideas. This is a great time of year for sprucing up and turning those garage sale finds and hand me downs into treasures.

Inside James Creek Galleries it is Spring with signs of Easter.
Lots of spring florals and Bunnies with eggs here and there.

We have some new primitive artwork, mostly portaits, in the style of American Gothic with bright colors and simple black frames that go well in your Colonial, high country and prim homes.
Stay safe everyone and enjoy the warmth of these days

Sincerely
Claire and Jan
